When do applications close? Will late entries be accepted?
We will stop accepting applications on Monday, May 13, 2024. Any late entries are subject to rejection and are guaranteed to be placed on the waitlist, if accepted.

If I am not accepted into the tournament, when will I get my refund?
On May 17th, you will receive notification of your status in the Women’s Western Junior, if you have not already. At that time, you will have the option to stay on the priority waitlist or be removed and receive an immediate refund. If you choose to stay on the waitlist and are not admitted before the start of the tournament, your refund will be initiated no later than June 17th, 2024.

What ranking systems is this tournament recognized by?
The Women’s Western Junior Championship Committee submits tournament results to the AJGA (for performance stars), Junior Golf Scoreboard, Golfweek, and WAGR.

How many AJGA Stars will I get?
The following PBE Status will be awarded based on finish:

  • Champion: Fully Exempt
  • Runner – Up: 12 Performance Stars
  • Semi-Finalists: 8 Performance Stars
  • Quarterfinalists: 4 Performance Stars

Does the Women’s Western Junior partner with any other tournaments for exemptions?
Yes, the following tournaments have partnered with the WWGA to award exemptions:

  • The Dye Junior: 2024 WWGA JR Champion will receive an exemption into the 2025 Dye Junior
  • The North & South Girls Junior: The 2024 WWGA JR Champion & Runner Up will receive exemptions into the 2025 North & South Girls Junior

Is there a host hotel with a discounted rate for players?
Yes. The Women’s Western Junior Championship Committee conducted hotel visits to ensure a safe and clean stay at a partnering hotel, in an area with a variety of food and beverage options. A booking link will be shared in the player acceptance email.

Can I hire a caddie for the tournament?
Yes, Hinsdale Golf Club will have caddies available for hire during the tournament. More information will be included in the acceptance email. Please note: parents or guardians are not allowed to caddie for their participant in the tournament.

Can I sign up for additional practice rounds at Hinsdale Golf Club prior to the start of the tournament?
The tournament committee does not permit players to make additional tee times for practice rounds prior to tournament week. Hinsdale Golf Club is a private club and is kept open for its members prior to the tournament.

Can spectator’s rent carts during the tournament?

Spectators with a valid doctor’s note or handicap placard may request a handicap cart. Please click here to submit a request, or visit the tournament office on-site during the tournament. Cart rental fee will be applicable and can be paid in the Hinsdale Golf Club Pro-Shop.
