98th Women’s Western Junior Championship

June 9-13, 2025
The Women's Western Junior is open to girls who are 18 years of age or younger, and will not reach 19 years of age by June 13th, 2025, have an up-to-date 18-hole Word Handicap System Index not to exceed 5.4 or state or international equivalent handicap system, and are not college or university students. All applicants must conform to the USGA Rules of Amateur Status and meet the requirements of the USGA Gender Policy. The WWGA Committee limits the field to a maximum of 78 contestants.
The championship begins with 36 holes of stroke-play qualifying, after which the field is cut to the low 16 players for match play. In the event of a tie for the 16th position, a sudden-elimination playoff will determine the final match-play qualifiers. Four rounds of 18-hole matches will decide the Women's Western Junior champion.
The Women's Western Junior champion and runner up receive exemptions into the 2025 Women's Western Amateur. Additionally, the champion will receive an exemption into the 2026 Dye Junior Championship, and both the champion and runner up with receive exemptions into the 2026 North & South Girls Junior.
The Women’s Western Junior Championship is recognized by AJGA, Junior Golf Scoreboard, and World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR).
