2025 Exemption Categories

98th Women's Western Junior Championship

June 9-13, 2025

Exempt players who wish to participate in the Championship must complete an official entry by the posted deadline of May 12, 2025.

Players in one and/or both of the following categories are eligible for exemption into the 2025 Women’s Western Junior Championship, providing: they meet the eligibility requirements under the ELIGIBILITY section of the entry form, and there are spaces available.

1. Player has received a formal invitation for an exemption from the Women’s Western Junior Championship Committee or
2. Player qualifies under categories A, B, C

Players who do not receive an invitation or do not qualify under categories A, B, or C, may apply for a “D-1 Special Consideration.” Players applying under this category must submit a tournament resume with their application.

A. Exemptions based on WWGA Championships:
A-1 Any Champion of the Women's Western Junior
A-2 Match Play Runner-Up of the Women's Western Junior (Since 2023)
A-3 Match play qualifiers of the 2024 Women's Western Junior
A-4 Match play qualifiers of the 2024 Women's Western Amateur

B. Exemptions based on other championships
B-1 U.S. Girls’ Junior Match Play, Round of 16 Qualifiers (2024)
B-2 Girls Junior PGA Championship, Champion & Runner-up (2024)
B-3 Sage Valley Junior Invitational, Champion & Runner-up (2025)
B-4 North & South Girls Junior Championship, Champion & Runner-up (2024)
B-5 Any AJGA Championship at the Invitational Level, Champion & Runner-up (2024 - 2025)
B-6 Dye Junior Champion (2024)

C. Exemptions based on rankings
C-1 Top 100 Rolex AJGA Girl’s Junior Rankings at any point between application launch date and entry deadline date
C-2 Top 100 Junior Golf Scoreboard Girl’s Rankings at any point between application launch date and entry deadline date
C-3 Member of the 2024 AJGA Rolex Junior All-American First or Second Teams.

D. Exemptions based on Special Considerations:
D-1 A limited number of exemptions, based on special considerations, are be granted by the Committee. Requests for a special consideration exemption may be submitted to the Women’s Western Junior Championship Committee by applying online and attaching a golf resume (compilation of previous tournament scores).
